Origin: Body of sphenoid bone

Insertion: Its tendon passes through a fibrous ring or trochlea, changes its direction, and inserts into sclera deep to superior rectus muscle

Innervation: Trochlear nerve (CN IV)

Main Action(s): Abducts, depresses, and medially rotates eyeball
