Proximal Attachment:

1^st and 2^nd - Lateral two tendons of flexor digitorum profundus (as unipennate muscles)

3^rd and 4^th - Medial three tendons of flexor digitorum profundus (as bipennate muscles)

Distal Attachment:

1^st and 2^nd - Lateral sides of extensor expansions of 2^nd-5^th digits

3^rd and 4^th - Lateral sides of extensor expansions of 2^nd-5^th digits

Innervation:

1^st and 2^nd - Median nerve (C₈, T₁)

3^rd and 4^th - Deep branch of ulnar nerve (C₈, T₁)

Main Action(s):

1^st and 2^nd - Flex metacarpophalangeal joints; extend interphalangeal joints of 2^nd-5^th digits

3^rd and 4^th - Flex metacarpophalangeal joints; extend interphalangeal joints of 2^nd-5^th digits
